Earlier we have discuss how to reduce time of shut down of XP in this blog, Following that discussions, Please check for Vista Users : how to do it ?

The key WaitToKillAppTimeout is replaced by WaitToKillServiceTimeout in Vista and the location has also changed.

- In Vista navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
- In right panel, look for WaitToKillServiceTimeout and double click on it. Change the value to around 5000. Click on OK.

Test your shutdown speed now and let me know if it really become quicker.
